The Nyala Hotel is the home of two prestigous exhibitions that will take place during the third edition of the San Remo Tango Festival. It’s about a photo exhibition entitled “Sombras de Tango” by Rossana Capasso – the most famous Euopean deejay of Tango – and a painting exhibition “Corpi e colori nel Tango Argentino” (Bodies and colors in the Argentine Tango), by the dancer and teacher Dorella Gigliotti. Both exhibitions will take place within the prestigous Art rooms of the Nyala Hotel and are curated by the art critic Giorgia Cassini. In the photo exhibition “Sombras de Tango” by Rossana Capasso, the Argentine Tango appears syntheseized in the extreme contrast between black and white. It’s the enchantment of a dance that seems to be danced with a shadow (www.rossanacapasso.it). “Sombras de Tango” – underlines Rossana Capasso -gathers a selection of shots realized in 2010 in the milongs of center and nothern Italy. Photos where the light and the shade swallows the context and part of the portraited subjects, bringing to life an intensive dance in the dark, in the company of ghosts”. The painting exhibition “Corpi e colori nel Tango argentino” by Dorella Gigliotti initially seems a work on colors, to mark the intensive passages of the moviments of the dance (www.dorellagigliotti.it). Slowly as the couple comes to life - adds Dorella Gigliotti -the twisting of the bodies, the sparkle of the jewel leads us to a flashback of the evening and transforms the dancers in a suspended moment, never frozen. The intense passion is combined with the technique coloring with emotions the performance, the perfect step leaves the pace to a compromise with the carnality, the figures blend together, are exasperated and clash. The bodies , which measure the intensity of the emotions, were born in an environement where its importance was fundemental and just because it was so important for such a long time, now they need to free themselves from today’s claustrophic concept of aesthetic emptied by the emotional meaning ( breathe, glances, embrace). In the eternal struggle (in the painting as in life), I find a new light that is redefined in new aesthetic rules”.

Last year three thousand families have chosen our hotel in San Remo for their holidays.

The panoramic position of the Nyala Hotel in San Remo
San Remo is a perfect place to bring children all year long: the healthy and unique climate of the Flower City made it become the main resort of the Mediterranean from 1860 to 1940, where royals and aristocratic habitually frequented it for long or short periods of convalescence.
The peculiarity of the climate is still the same today and it’s also certified by a recent Canadian research which has elected San Remo as the town with the best climate in the world. The rarity of the San Remo climate lies in the limited temperature range between day and night and between summer and winter.

Playground of the Nyala Hotel in San Remo
The panoramic location of our hotel, surrounded by nature, at 80 m above sea level is perfect also for the health of your children as it protects them against pollution and particulate matter of the busy via Aurelia that crosses the entire city, as well as mitigating the humid effects of the sea. It’s not a case that the Solaro area was preferred by many aristocrats that built luxurious nineteenth century villas, with the park of one of them that now is the setting for our pool.
By choosing our hotel for the holidays, you’ll find a staff accustomed to work with children and that are aware of their needs, besides a special hospitality in the scene of the Flower Riviera, with bigger traditional rooms above the average and a substantial number of junior suites with dimensions and comfort of the upper class, which are going through a complete renewal in these weeks.
